The detailed solution of several parameters in reverse osmosis system. Jan 19, 2018

Recovery: the percentage of water in a membrane system that is converted into water or through liquid.

The design of the membrane system is based on the preset inlet water quality, which is set on the thick water channel with a strong water valve to adjust and set the recovery rate.

The recovery rate is often expected to maximize the maximum yield, but it should not be precipitated as a limit by the oversaturation of the salt and other impurities.

Desalination rate: the percentage of soluble impurity concentration can be removed from the system by the reverse osmosis membrane, or the percentage of specific components, such as divalent ion or organic matter, can be removed through the nanofiltration membrane.

Penetration rate: the opposite of desalination rate. It is the percentage of dissolved impurities in water through the membrane.

Osmotic fluid: purified water produced by the membrane system.

Flow: flow refers to the rate of flow into the membrane element, which is usually expressed in cubic meters per hour (m cubed /h) or gallons per minute (GPM).

Heavy water flow refers to the "water inflow" flow of the part that leaves the membrane element system without passing through the membrane.

This part of the concentrated water contains the soluble components of the original water source, often expressed in cubic meters per hour (m cubed /h) or gallons per minute (GPM).

Flux: the unit membrane area through the liquid flow rate, usually litres per square meter per hour (l / h) or gallons per square foot said (GPM) every day.

Dilute solution: a purified water solution for the reverse osmosis or nanofiltration system.

Concentrated solution: an unpermeable part of the solution, such as the reverse osmosis or the concentrated water of the nanofiltration system.
